Up or down, does it affect hair growth? PLEASE HELP!!?

please help me!!

i really want long hair, but mine doesnt seem to grow that much. i was woundering, if you wore your hair down all the time, would it grow faster? and if i wore my hair up all the time (pony tail) would it grow slower?

P.S i always have my hair up so is this why it doesnt seem to grow because my side fringe seems to gorw (and i dont have that up)

You should wear your hair up in a ponytail really tight. It really does help the hair grow because it gives more cirrculation to the head and makes hair grow faster.

nopee it doesnt affect it :) y not buy extensions + do u straighten ure hair because if u have it really str8 it will look longer

The fact that it is up won't affect the growth.. but what you are putting it up with might be breaking it..therefore making it shorter..

Im not sure really but my hair doesnt grow fast either but i straighten my hair nearly every day so that might make a diference because if you have spilit ends that can also make it grow slower. but just do what i do and buy clip in extentions for the time being.

No, it wont make a difference. It may however break off your hair. Contrary to what the person above said, circulation doesn't affect hair growth. It's a common myth that things such as scalp massage improve hair growth because they induce circulation, but that's not true.

Some people's hair just grows slower than others. There's no changing it.

having your hair up or down dosnt make any difference! However cutting the ends off every 6 weeks might make it grow better!
