if you have your hair tied back in a pony tail, does it stop your hair from growing? and if you have your hair down, does your hair grow faster?

its just a protective hairstyle that protects the existing hair shaft from breakage , as hair will grow from the scalp about 1/2 inch every month ....so the hair shaft gets longer

Your hair grows faster if its pulled back. Growing up I was always told to put it in a braid when i slept at night to help it grow. I guess its cause it pulls on the hairs and stimulates their growth more.

As far as I know the fastest my hair grows. I would have to say braids on my hair. My great grand-ma and grandma use

to always braid my hair every night. before I went to bed.Whitch helped my hair grow very long. Don't wash your hair every day three to four times at the most because our hair produces oils that make our hair grow. Washing our hair every day washes oils away that produce hair to grow. I Suggest you try it for a good month or two and see the results

p/s Might I so suggest not to wash hair in hot water. It can cause hair lost and might prevent hair from fast growing fast use Luke water to wash hair .
