Does conditioners and shampoos make hair growth worse?

my hair is really short and i want to make it long. some suggests that i have to use commercial conditioners and shampoos but my sister and auntie said that it's not true and besides, it will make your hair dull and rough. please... any help?

hi my hair is very long and bright i can say you for use only one thing it is a mixture which is made by egg, oil , milk. mix them and before getting bath cover your hair with it and wait three minutes after clean it and use shampoo and conditioner

you see you will have really great hair

believe it or not, your fullest hair length is actually genetically coded, some people have a length that they can never go beyond... but most of us never reach that limit!

Shampoos and conditioners do absolutely nothing to affect hair growth. All they do is enhance the oil balance between hairs, follicles and scalp. After a while, a residue will build up which is why trying a new shampoo/conditioner gives us a super boost of shine... but then, that shampoo/conditioner will build up it's own residue just like the rest.

So, if you want your hair to LOOK good, keep varying your shampoos... don't wash your hair too often, it will dry out your scalp...

But, you want to make your hair grow faster, eat all the things that you would associate with hair, skin and nails (vitamins, supplements, organic foods, dairy produce etc). Your hair is actually an indicator of how well the rest of your body is doing. So, if you look after your body, from the inside out, your hair will grow and look full and volumous!

you do need shampoos and conditioners to make your hair grow. only if you use them to much they will make your hair dull and rough because it takes away the hair's natural oils.
